These are prudent to have on hand. Not necessary, but prudent.

Polysporin is effective in treating debilitating foot infections that you don't have the time or resources to heal on their own. Raw garlic is said to produce the same effect but will burn your skin if left there.

Sutures—I've used these to keep down a flap. A good Band-Aid or butterfly Band-Aid will do just as well until the flesh catches and heals, and you may be lucky enough to be left with a killer scar, but probably not if you do it right.

Band-aids—these are near indispensable. I don't want to have to boil a rag and reuse it.

Hydrogen peroxide will clear out tooth and gum infection. Rinse after use. Also a great topical antiseptic that does not need alcohol.
