The String Power Point (Archery)

In archery, the power point is the point on your string which sits in the knock of the shaft, the single most important spot and the area to develop complete control over. Aim the shaft, then, use the power point to shoot the shaft true while using your wrist, arm and fingers to compound the power of the limbs, move the bow stave out of the way from obstructing the exiting shaft, push the shaft into the required flight path.

Don't over do it however with wild uncontrolled swings or major pushing! Focus!

The power point must become the extension of your being to determine the energy required for the shaft to meet the distance you want.

The compound bow is designed to move to as near possible in a liner line, the arrow nock, and this too must be your goal with the traditional bow. Regardless of what your bow hand does, the power point must balance the nock appropriately, for the length of your arrows shafts trajectory (while it is in contact with  your shaft) and until the string is braced.

Calm you body and mind- painfully and diligently gain an understanding of the tools use.

The more you fail (in your archery practice), the more you (should) learn. Focus on how every bow hand twitch effects the arrow.

Aim for perfect arrow follow!
