The String Power Point (Archery)
In archery, the power point is the point on your string that sits in the knock of the shaft, the single most important spot and the area to develop complete control over. Aim the shaft, then use the power point to shoot the shaft the way that is needed. The shaft should be fired true, using your wrist, arm, and fingers to compound the power of the limbs, move the bow stave out of the way from obstructing the exiting shaft, and push the shaft into the required flight path.
The power point must become the extension of your being to determine the energy required for the shaft to meet the distance you want.
The compound bow is designed to move as near as possible in a straight line to the arrow nock, and this too must be your goal with the traditional bow. Regardless of what your bow hand does, the power point must balance the nock appropriately for the length of your arrow shafts' trajectory (while it is in contact with your shaft).
Focus on how every bow hand twitch affects the arrow.
Aim for perfect arrow follow.
