How to treat food poisoning.

I can not over state the importance of having a ready vile of wood charcoal in your medical arsinal.

I have had food full blown poisoning four times in my life; it can be one of the most painful experiences you can endure (surprising the pain it causes without any apparent physical injury). My experience usually lasts about eight hours with residual stomach soreness following.

If you catch the early symptoms, you may be able to remedy a treatment without much pain. If not, you may still take the suggested treatment to mitigate a full-blown food poisoning experience by quickly cleaning out the toxins. Early symptoms include nausea, dizziness, and coldness from sweating that has no obvious cause.

The treatment is, and one still used today by medical practitioners - crushed charcoal. Mix a tablespoon or more into a cup of water and drink it. Having a vile ready in case is a good idea. The treatment also helps with plant poisons and maybe parasites.

I have also eaten a plant toxin oleander; by accident; and again having a ready canister of this charcoal probably saved me a lot more pain that what I tasted.

In brief, the mechanism of effect is the strong ability of the charcoal of absorb chemicals and substances in its environment.
