Hide count for the field article manufacture and recommendation forthe orderr of article production.

 My list of the the outdoorsmans most important items, ordered most important to least and the number of hides needed to make them. All very important to make eventually.

1. Moose Moccasins - one spilit hide will make several mocs. The other, raw hide half, will make a good supply of the sole which need not be smoke tanned. 

2. One deer hide will make a few Eastern woodland style mocs; these can also be used in the winter but a far less durable than moose.

3. leggings - two deer hides and a loin. Shorts can be used in place of a loin or some other rag. Shorts protect your nads from bugs. These are second on the order of importance, as your legs will receive a lot of insults in the bush.

4. Shirt or hoodie - you need four for a hoodie which is the best option. You want to protect your neck and head from bugs. The hoody should be made large to accommodate sweaters underneath. The hoody protects your skin other garments worn benith from all the outdoor elements. Woven material of any make won't last days in the outdoors.

5. A bag - one.
