Bleeding and Cuts in Winter
For some reason, when you get a cut in below zero temperatures, the wound has a difficult time healing so it goes on bleed. If you don’t have a first aid kit, bandaids or a clean rag you need to know how to stop the blood.
Don’t cauterize is. Unless you know what you are doing you’ll just blister the area and it won’t stop the blood.
What worked for me was I rubbed charcoal into the wound and then clean clay. It’s likely that the charcoal was enough, but soon after I rubed in the clay and the blood stopped. The charcoal and clay are both able to absorb viruses and bacteria to prevent infection.
If the cut is slightly more severe and you can’t wrap it, put a glove on the hand that it is lokated on
